GED Testing Program

The Tests of General Educational Development (GED®) are developed by the American Council on Education to enable persons who have not graduated from high school to demonstrate the attainment of abilities normally associated with completion of a high school program of study.

The GED® battery includes five tests that measure the skills considered to be the major outcomes of a high school education:

• Language Arts, Writing
• Language Arts, Reading
• Social Studies
• Science
• Mathematics

“RACE TO GED!  Official Practice Tests are given FREE on a regular basis at the Denbigh Learning Center (283-7830) and South Morrison Learning Center (928-6765).   Call for more information or to schedule an appointment to take the Official Practice Test.“

If you decide you do not want to take classes or the Official Practice Test, there is a fee of $58.00 to take the Official GED® test.  You must be registered 24hrs in advance. Contact 928-6765 ext 38841 or ext 38651 for future testing dates.

An applicant must be 18 years of age and officially withdrawn from school to qualify for GED® testing unless enrolled in the alternative education program.  A current government-issued picture identification is required for registration.
