NNPS recognized for excellence in communication

(June 21, 2010) - Newport News Public Schools staffers won eight awards in the 2010 National School Public Relations Association competition for publications and electronic media.

Patrick Finneran, director of corporate and government relations, received a Golden Achievement Award for the Business & Education Summit, an event designed to enlist local businesses and organizations to provide career experiences for students before they finish high school. The award recognizes exemplary public relations activities, programs and projects.
