Dress Code: South Morrison Elementary School
South Morrison Elementary has a Uniform Dress Code for all students,
PEEP through fifth grade. The school's dress code is established
to instill discipline, prevent disruption, and avoid safety hazards.
Final determination of acceptable dress and grooming rests with
the building administration.
Boys:
- Slacks or shorts in navy, khaki or black
- Knit golf shirts, short or long sleeved (with collars, no printed
or embroidered logos) in any solid color.
- Sweaters (no printed or embroidered logos) in navy, red, white
or black
- Athletic sneakers (plain) in white, black or navy
- Turtlenecks may also be worn.
Girls:
- Slacks, skirts, shorts, jumpers, capris, skorts in navy, khaki
or black
- Knit golf style shirts, long or short sleeved (with collars,
no printed or embroidered logos) in any solid color.
- Sweaters (no printed or embroidered logos) in navy, red, white
or black
- Athletic sneakers (plain) in white, black or navy
- Turtlenecks may also be worn.
Other:
- Pants designed for belts must be belted at the waist.
- Skirts, shorts, jumpers and skorts must be fingertip or knee
length.
- Coats may not be worn during the school day.
- Jeans are not part of the Uniform Dress Code.
- Shirts must be worn inside garments.
Implementation guidelines:
- The Uniform Dress Code is required for all students.
- Parents that register their children for the school later in
the year will be expected to comply with the Structured Dress
Code within five (5) days. There are no opt outs. Parents can
contact school administrators with concerns.
