NN schools closed for students on Tuesday

Due to the wintry weather and icy road conditions forecast for early tomorrow morning, all Newport News Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 4, for all students. If the school division has to close for any future inclement weather events, virtual instruction will be considered.
At this writing, evening sporting events are still planned as scheduled. All other school activities are cancelled for Tuesday.
Meals-to-Go Service is available for all students on Tuesday at all elementary schools from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Families may drive up to receive a take-home lunch and breakfast.
All school offices and school administration offices will open at 11 a.m.
