Public invited to review elementary reading textbooks

Newport News Public Schools is considering adopting new elementary English textbooks and is providing an opportunity for parents/guardians, students and staff to review the textbooks under consideration:

• Benchmark Advance by Benchmark Education
• Wonders by McGraw Hill
• Open Court by McGraw Hill
• Core5 by Lexia Learning
• Saavas Learning

Individuals may review the textbooks and offer comment on the proposed textbooks through February 25, 2022, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the NNPS Administration Building, 12465 Warwick Boulevard, Newport News.
