Newport News Public Schools invites parents/guardians, students, staff and community members to share their thoughts and priorities about school facilities during a Community Dialogue from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, at Gildersleeve Middle School, 1 Minton Drive.

NNPS and Cooperative Strategies, a national school facility planning firm, are planning for the future by embarking on a long-range Facilities Master Plan to identify and prioritize the needs of public school buildings. The Facilities Master Plan will guide major capital improvements including new construction, renovations and consolidations to better meet NNPS educational goals and needs.

Public input is encouraged and will help guide the development of the NNPS Facilities Master Plan. Please note that face masks are required for attendees. Light refreshments will be available.
