Free and Reduced Meals Program

The Virginia School Breakfast and Lunch Programs are Federally assisted meal programs, which provide nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to school aged children. The Virginia Department of Education, School Nutrition Programs, administers the program at the state level, which operates the program through agreements with local school districts. Participating schools must serve breakfasts and lunches that meet Federal nutrition standards, and must provide free and reduced-price meals to eligible children. More information at Benefits.gov.

Household size and income will be used to determine eligibility for free or reduced price meals. Only one application per household needs to be completed. There are two ways to complete an application.
