NNPS to Present STEM Community Day at CNU

(05/16/2017) -Families are invited to attend STEM Community Day on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Freeman Center at Christopher Newport University, 1 University Place, Newport News. There will be hands-on activities for all ages. Explore STEM education opportunities and professions; participate in robotics competitions and engineering design challenges; and learn about computer programming, 3D printing and more! Food and beverage will be available for purchase.

Bus transportation is provided for families from the following locations to the event and back, starting at 9:30 a.m., with the last buses departing from CNU at 2:00 p.m.:

  • An Achievable Dream Academy, 726 16th Street
  • An Achievable Dream Middle/High School, 5720 Marshall Avenue
  • Courthouse Green Townhomes, Old Courthouse Way and Hustings Lane
  • Discovery STEM Academy, 1712 Chestnut Avenue
  • Denbigh Early Childhood Center, 15638 Warwick Boulevard
  • Doris Miller Community Center, 2814 Wickham Avenue
