Twelve career and technical education teachers earned recognition for their students' successful performance on the W!SE Financial Literacy Certification Test by being named Gold Star teachers. To receive the Gold Star Award, at least 93% of their students in one or more classes must pass the W!SE Financial Literacy Test.
Named as Gold Star teachers: Hope London, Lisa McAlister and Patricia Newman-Ricks from Denbigh High School; Lenise Cowling from Heritage High School; Adrienne Caldwell from Menchville High School; Michael Bellamy, Kimberly Grant, Lisa Jones and Reginald Neely from Warwick High School; and Stephen Brown, Janet Costello and Tina Shorter from Woodside High School.
