ADDITIONAL Gifted Services SCREENING

The office of Gifted Services offers courtesy screening for private school, home schooled, and new-to-the-system students. Parents of these students should call the office of Gifted Services to pre-register. This screening is for placement for the 2012-13 academic year. Please call 757-591-4566 to pre-register.

The gifted screening process includes: an aptitude test, an achievement test, a parent evaluation of gifted characteristics, a teacher evaluation of the student’s gifted characteristics, and a review of the student’s academic grades.

Available Gifted Screening Sessions:

• Friday, April 20, 2012 at NNPS Staff Support Center located at 12511 Warwick Blvd. Screening begins at 8:00 a.m. Students must be pre-registered by April 10, 2012.

• Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at NNPS Staff Support Center located at 12511 Warwick Blvd. Screening begins at 8:00 a.m. Students must be pre-registered by June 1, 2012.

• Wednesday, August 1, 2012; Screening begins at 10:00 a.m. Students must be pre-registered by July 20, 2012.
