Administrators complete school leadership program

(04/02/2014) -Four Newport News Public Schools administrators have successfully completed the National Institute for School Leadership's Executive Development Program for School Leaders. The 26-day training program is designed to prepare principals, administrators and officials to be strategic thinkers, instructional leaders and creators of school cultures in which all students are expected to meet high standards.

The NNPS educators are Special Education Supervisor Kimberly Judge; Angela Rhett, supervisor of development and expertise; School Improvement Supervisor Varinda Robinson; and Garett Smith, executive director of elementary school leadership. Nationwide, more than 6,000 school leaders have been trained through the program.
