Career and Technical Education Instructional Supervisor named president-elect of VACTEA

Toinette Outland, Instructional Supervisor for Career and Technical Education, was appointed by colleagues across the Commonwealth as the President-Elect of the Virginia Association of Career & Technical Education Administrators (VACTEA) for the 2019-2020 school year. Outland will lead professional development opportunities for over 300 CTE administrators across the state during her term.
"I look forward to further promoting Career and Technical Education, providing innovative and engaging professional development, and providing an avenue to share best practices and networking opportunities for CTE administrators across the state as we work toward the mission of preparing students to be future-ready," said Outland.
VACTEA provides leadership in promoting the effectiveness of career and technical education as an integral part of the total education program for youth and adults in Virginia.
Outland has been with NNPS for nine years, serving as a teacher and program administrator before her current position.
