What do you love most about teaching?
I love the relationships I get to build with different students each year. No year is ever the same. Each one comes with its own ups and downs that you end up looking back on and being grateful that you got to experience.

What is the best way to describe your classroom on a typical day?
On a typical day you would see carefully organized "chaos". With varying English proficiency levels, cultures, and enrollment times in one classroom, teaching middle school Newcomers truly tests my flexibility. Each lesson has lots of movement and times for conversation built in to keep my students engaged and feeling in control of their learning and of the classroom community.
