Why are you passionate about supporting fellow teachers?
If there is a profession that relies on "the village," it's education.  The more support we give to our colleagues, the more support we get in return.  A collective mind is the best resource for an educator to possess.

What do you love most about teaching?
I love my students and their families!  I love the way children look at the world.  There's always something to be stressed or worried about, but building relationships with my students and their families helps that to fade into the background.

Why are you passionate about supporting fellow teachers?
Teaching is an occupation that requires communication and collaboration in all aspects of the job. Having opportunities to talk with each other and learn from one another is invaluable, especially for librarians who may be the only one in the building. You do not need to feel "alone" when there are opportunities to share your learning. I enjoy supporting others and sharing resources because, ultimately, I gain new learning and ideas when talking with others.

What do you love most about teaching?
I love teaching. I love the opportunity to share my learning and ideas with my students and, in return, learning from them. I enjoy working with my colleagues who care about our students' academic learning and physical and emotional well-being. I really enjoy learning about my students and learning from their different perspectives. As a librarian, I have the privilege of working with the students throughout all the years they are at my school and watching them grow as individuals and learners. How lucky am I!
