Proposed Reassignment Plan for Rising 6th Grade Students in the Huntington Middle School Zone

After careful consideration, the Newport News Public Schools leadership team is recommending an adjustment to the Huntington Middle School Academic Plan/Assignment of Students which proposes to reassign rising sixth-grade students residing in the Huntington attendance zone to Crittenden Middle School for the 2023-2024 school year and beyond.

Current sixth and seventh-grade Huntington students would continue to attend Huntington Middle School at Heritage High School during the 2023-2024 school year.
