Cold Weather Tips

The National Weather Service has issued a cold weather advisory for Newport News and surrounding areas. Temperatures are expected to drop below freezing, and wind chills will be in the single digits on Tuesday and Wednesday.
To prepare for the unusually cold outside temperatures, school division officials encourage students and staff to follow the recommendation of the National Weather Service and dress in layers while outside.
