Warwick's Brown selected state athletic director of the year

Warwick High School Athletic Director Lucas Brown has been named 2025 Virginia Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Class 5/6 Athletic Director of the Year.
Brown was hired at Warwick in July of 2024 after nine years as athletic director at Kecoughtan High School in Hampton City Schools. He currently serves on the Virginia High School League Executive Committee and VIAAA Board of Directors, and is Athletic Director Chair of Region 5B as well as the Peninsula District.
"I am deeply honored and humbled to receive this prestigious award, a true testament to the dedication and passion of the coaches and athletes I have had the pleasure of working with throughout my career," Brown said.
A graduate of York High School and Old Dominion University, Brown worked as assistant athletic director at Tabb High School in York County in his early years as an athletics administrator.
Brown will receive his award on May 1 at the 2025 VIAAA State Conference in Richmond.
