Advisory Board

The primary purpose of the Gifted Services (TAG) Advisory Board is to support and monitor the various services offered to gifted students by Newport News Public Schools. Our specific responsibilities include reviewing the Local Plan for the Gifted, sponsoring programs of interest to parents, reviewing gifted programs in the schools, and making recommendations when appropriate. We do not address the concerns of individual students. The Gifted Services (TAG) Advisory Board is made up of parents/guardians and teachers of gifted students, as well as community members and administrators.
