Bloom

Self-discovery, positive relationships, health and wellness.

Founded in 2018, Bloom is a division-wide student led empowerment initiative, designed to equip female middle school students with the information and resources essential for their development as global leaders, destined to make an impact in their schools, community, and the world! Bloom is supported by dozens of female leaders in business, government, education, and the community.

In addition to an annual conference, Bloom organizations in each middle school meet regularly to address topics such as self-discovery, healthy relationships, emotional wellbeing, and leadership. Elementary students participate in a parallel program, Blossom while students in grades 9-12 participate in Flourish, the high school version of Bloom.

Flourish

Flourish is the high school version of the Bloom program. Like Bloom, Flourish members engage in extraordinary activities designed to prepare them for a future in global leadership. Flourish members in grades 11 and 12 assist with programming for young students as Empowerment Coaches, or "yellow shirts." As coaches, they assist with project, conference, and event planning.

Blossom

Blossom, the elementary version of Bloom, introduces younger students to important topics that help them build social, emotional, and leadership skills. Blossom members learn about social and community needs and lead service projects that make a global impact. Through the development of positive relationships and exposure to extraordinary experiences of self-exploration and opportunities to demonstrate student leadership and service learning, Blossom grows leaders and world changers.

The Bloom, Flourish, and Blossom Empowerment Programs are coordinated by the NNPS Youth Development Department. For more information about these programs or opportunities to partner, contact Bridget Adams, NNPS Youth Development Program Administrator.
