Huntington Middle School: The Next Chapter

The proud history of Huntington High School and Huntington Middle School will continue with the construction of a new 600-student middle school, anticipated to open during the second semester of the 2025-2026 school year.

The new middle school is part of the city’s Southeast Community Resource Area that is set to include a public library and community center, as well as sports and recreation features.

Construction Progress Update

October 17, 2024

MEB General Contractors, Inc., the Contractor, completed installation of sand/select fill materials for the foundation of the entire school buildings' footprint. Therefore, the foundation is at grade for "Top-of-Soils". The Contractor has also completed installation of the aggregate piers, and piers have passed load testing requirements. The Contractor is currently working to bring all utilities to the jobsite.
