Why are you passionate about supporting fellow teachers?
I believe the best way for students to excel is to build the capacity of fellow co-workers, helping them realize their potential along with their students. By modeling engaging activities, I hope to inspire other positive learning environments.

What do you love most about teaching?
I love building relationships with students and seeing their confidence grow as they learn new skills.

Why are you passionate about supporting fellow teachers?
My student teaching concluded in January (certifying me to teach K-6 General Education and K-12 Special Education), and I was hired to start my first position in February. As a new hire, fresh from student teaching, I received minimal direction and often had to search for answers on my own. The following year at the high school was similar—while one coworker kindly helped me with an IEP, most of my learning happened through trial and error. With COVID adding extra challenges, even basic processes felt overwhelming without proper support.

These experiences showed me how isolating teaching can feel when you lack guidance. I'm passionate about supporting fellow teachers because I truly understand what it's like to struggle through those critical early months, constantly wondering if you're doing things right. No new teacher should have to feel that way. When we support each other through mentorship and simply being available to answer questions, we create stronger educators and, ultimately, better outcomes for students. I'm committed to being the colleague I wish I had during those challenging, early days.

What do you love most about teaching?
I absolutely love building relationships with students, especially with those challenging students others may have given up on. Breaking down barriers and discovering that spark in a student who may have felt ignored or misunderstood is immensely fulfilling. For me, teaching is all about the thrill I get when someone is excited about getting something right, or even just trying something new.
